The A+ Band

The A+ Band is FCAPSG's homegrown pride. The band's first performance was in 2005, before they got a name. The audience's response was so overwhelming that each member continued to hone their musical skills on their own. The members regrouped early in 2007 at the Paetenian Association's request to perform. Since then, they have practised by themselves, expanding their repertoire. The band members are: Ron Adea on keyboard 1, Patrick Rivera on keyboard 2, Stan Ong on the drums and Taylor Leal on the guitar and voice. The members themselves arrange their own music. Ron Adea

Ron Adea is a musically gifted boy, diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD). He manifested his musical interest at 5 years old, when he tinkered the "Barney, I Love You" tune in different keys on his grandmother's electronic keyboard. At 7 years old, he got his own keybaord that has demo musical tunes stored in its memory bank. This keyboard became Ron's first piano teacher as he observed the "demo" keystrokes on the keyboard's window. He eventually mastered the strokes and played back the tune to his parents' amaze. Pleased with his discovery of being able to learn to play, Ron diligently learned new songs from the keyboard's "demo" tunes. Check his website to see him and listen to him play piano tunes. .
